Our Story
SideBy Care began with a family's search for answers.
For years, Patrick Leonard and his wife Paige watched their young daughter struggle with daily stomach pain and a poor appetite. She went through numerous tests, procedures, and specialist visits without finding an effective path forward.
Eventually, they learned she had a disorder of gut-brain interaction (DGBI) and needed a different approach to treatment. With the right care, her stomach pain improved significantly within just four weeks.
That experience inspired SideBy Care: a new way to bring behavioral health and nutrition into the treatment of chronic digestive conditions.
Closing the Clinical Gap
People living with IBS and other disorders of gut-brain interaction (DGBIs), Crohn's disease, and ulcerative colitis often need care beyond medications, procedures, and occasional office visits. Behavioral health and nutrition treatment are evidence-based parts of care, but most patients struggle to access them.
The SideBy Care Model integrates this treatment directly into existing GI care:
