SideBy Care now treats patients with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.

People living with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) face challenges beyond controlling inflammation, including anxiety, food-related concerns, treatment adherence, and the impact of an unpredictable chronic condition on daily life. SideBy Care works alongside the GI provider's treatment plan to provide evidence-based behavioral health and nutrition care between visits. That care addresses factors that can affect quality of life and healthcare use.

Patients can begin the SideBy Care Program at any stage of their condition: newly diagnosed, during a flare, through treatment changes, or in remission. After the initial program, care continues through optimization sessions as their needs change.

To introduce the expansion, Sahil R. Patel, MD, Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer, hosted an educational webinar series for GI providers, "Behavioral Health & Nutrition for Patients with Crohn's Disease & Ulcerative Colitis." The series covered the latest clinical evidence, which patients are a good fit, and practical ways to integrate behavioral health and nutrition into IBD care.
